Re: New Options for Devon Theater Season Subscribers

 

 

Dear Patrons,

 

 

            As stated in previous releases, Devon Inc. and its partner Fuse Mgt LLC have been continuing working on various ways for our subscribers to utilize the remaining portion of their season subscription(s) to the Devon Theater.  At this time we would like to present you with the two latest options:

 

Option #1 “In-House Exchange”

 

Season Subscribers of the Devon Theater will be able to exchange the remainder of their season subscription for Devon Dollars. Devon Dollars can be spent toward the cost of any show the Devon books the remainder of 2009, as well as all of 2010 & 2011. Devon Dollars can also be spent on the purchase of General Concessions, Soft Drinks, and Alcohol Related Beverages. Devon Dollars can also be placed toward the fees related to any acting workshops, children’s classes, or summer camps held at the Devon Theater.

 

Option #2 “Regional Exchange”

 

Through a great deal of assistance provided by the Philadelphia Theater Alliance & several Philadelphia Regional Theaters, the Devon subscribers can go to the following theaters below and utilize the value of their ticket and/or Devon Dollars to see a show. Each theaters offer is unique and we ask that you please contact each prior to the show to ensure your transaction goes smoothly.

 

Currently there are other theaters working out potential deals with Devon Inc. and the Theater Alliance and as they become available they will be released to you and placed on the Theater Alliance website. The Media Theatre (104 E. State Street Media, PA 19063) will accept Devon Dollars for tickets to any Broadway Series Show for the remainder of their season through June 7th, 2010.  Media will honor the $20 Devon ticket price for a ticket to ticket exchange.  To reserve your tickets call 610-891-0100 and be sure to mention you are using Devon Dollars.  More information about the Media Theatre and their season is available at www.mediatheatre.org

 

 

 

Bristol Riverside Theatre (120 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA  19007) will accept Devon Dollars for tickets to any show for the remainder of their season through May 23rd, 2010.  BRT will honor the $20 Devon ticket price for a ticket to ticket exchange.  To reserve your tickets call 215.785.0100 and be sure to mention you are using Devon Dollars.  More information about the Bristol Riverside Theatre and their season is available at www.brtstage.org

 

Philadelphia Theatre Company (480 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102) will be happy to accept Devon Dollars for tickets to the extension week performances of THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, beginning Tuesday, December 8 through Sunday, December 13.  To reserve your tickets call 215.985.0420 and be sure to mention you are using Devon Dollars. Hedgerow Theatre (64 W. Rose Valley Road, Media, PA 19063) will accept Devon Dollars for tickets to A Christmas Carol adapted by Nagle Jackson (Dec. 1 - 27), Nunsense by Dan Goggin (Dec. 30 - Jan 17), Visiting Mr. Green by Jeff Baron (Jan. 28 - Feb 14), Shirley Valentine by Willy Russell (Feb 2. - Feb. 18), Look Mom, I'm Swell! by Tony Braithewaite (Feb. 25 - March 14), At This Evening's Performance by Nagle Jackson (March 25 - April 18), or Camping with Henry & Tom by Mark St. Germain (April 29 - May 23).  Hedgerow will honor the $20 Devon ticket price for a ticket to ticket exchange.  To reserve your tickets call 610.565.4211 and be sure to mention you are using Devon Dollars.  More information about Hedgerow Theatre and these plays is available at www.hedgerowtheatre.org. Philadelphia Theatre Workshop (performing at Walnut Street Theatre - Studio 5) will accept Devon Dollars for $20 general admission tickets to the world premiere of "The Invisible Play" by Alex Dremann for Thursday night performances (now through December 13, 2009) and for the world premiere of 516 (five sixteen) by Katharine Clark Gray for Thursday night performances (May 15 - June 6, 2010).  To reserve your tickets call 215-316-1361 and be sure to mention you are using Devon Dollars.  More information about PTW and these plays is available at www.philadelphiatheatreworkshop.org

 

Temple University Theater (performing at Tomlinson Theater 1301 W. Norris Street, Philadelphia, PA 19022) will accept Devon Dollars for tickets to their production of  RENT on the following days: March 3, 16, 17, 18,  25, and 31 - all at 7:30 PM as well as March 24th at 7:00 pm. The Ritz Theatre Company (915 White Horse Pike, Haddon Township, NJ  08107) will accept Devon Dollars for $20 tickets to any Friday Night performance, excluding Opening Nights, of A Chorus Line, Arsenic and Old Lace and Noises Off.  Available dates are – Chorus Line- January 29, February 5 & 12 – Arsenic and Old Lace – March 19 & 26, April 2 – Noises Off – May 7, 14 & 21.  Call 856-858-5230 to make your reservation, identify yourself as a Devon Subscriber and give us your name and address. Beginning December 14, 2009 Devon Season Subscribers will have the ability to come down to the Devon Theater Box Office to either:

 

1.      If you have all of your remaining show tickets please bring them to the Box Office. At that time we will exchange those tickets for your Devon Dollars.

2.      If your tickets are at the Box Office and you planned to access them via Will Call, then you will only need to bring yourself to pick-up your Devon Dollars.

 

$    Each season subscription has a $60.00 value remaining, which will be the

      value offered in Devon Dollars upon time of exchange.      

 

This transaction will only take a few minutes requiring only your signature to confirm pick-up/exchange. Dates/Times for ticket exchanges will be as follows:

 

                       

                        Monday Dec 14th – 10:00am to 8:00pm

                        Tuesday Dec 15th – 10:00am to 8:00pm

                        Wednesday Dec 16th – 11:00am to 8:00pm

                        Thursday Dec 17th – 11:00am to 8:00pm

                        Friday Dec 18th – 11:00am to7:00pm

 

  • Following those dates/times listed above, availability for exchanges will vary based upon holiday staff scheduling.

 

At this point in time, the Devon Theater will not be offering cash or credit card refunds. Devon Inc. is a grant based non-profit. Cuts in state funding, and the uncertainty of future funding, does not allow and or provide us with that ability at this point in time. As we have always stated from the beginning we will continue to work to create solutions for those subscribers who were affected and the following press release is a direct result of those efforts.
